Tom Carper: “I think we will wrap it up at this point. I have another hearing that started at 9:30 this morning that is still going…”

People ask me what I am proudest of in my life, and I always say, raising three boys, with a big assist from their mom.

We are better off when we hear community concerns at the beginning of the process rather than at the end.

Public engagement can build trust, it can increase public buy-in, can help resolve issues, can help prevent litigation, and ultimately it can save time and money.

We will do it again. Maybe the next time we will actually make it to Columbia.
