Given how important this obviously is, my only regret is that we didn't have an opportunity to talk about it 24 hours ago.
Public engagement can build trust, it can increase public buy-in, can help resolve issues, can help prevent litigation, and ultimately it can save time and money.
There is a good compromise out there, and I think if we are smart and don't give up today, we will find it.
Thank you for your passion, and I would ask that we spend the rest of this day dealing with this and seeing if we can't work this out.
