I rise in support of the nomination of Rosemary Barkett, chief justice of the Florida Supreme Court, to become a judge in the U.S. court of appeals for the eleventh circuit. It seems to me there can be no doubt that she is qualified for the position for which she has been nominated. Her educational background and her career as a lawyer and a judge demonstrate a commitment to service, a depth of experience, and a strength and character that makes her an excellent choice for the Federal bench.
