Christopher Coons: “Health is good politics.”

When the U.S. leads other countries follow, and we see now, thanks to our efforts and thanks to Bill Browder's efforts, a dozen countries--two dozen countries have now passed Magnitsky type sanctions.

I believe that allowing any companies in China to purchase these products presents a serious risk to our national security and economic leadership.

We need to provide more support for personnel, for operations, for outreach to support the Human Rights Defenders Fund.

I have been engaged in these issues a long time and gravely concerned to continue to hear about the steady loss of freedom around the world.
