There's certainly a double standard. And I don't often quote but Gloria Steinem, but she says, you can look at a double standard if they wouldn't attack the male opponent that way.
Will they attack us? Yes. Will they smear our backgrounds and distort our records? Undoubtedly. Will they lie about us, harass our families, name-call and try to intimidate us? They will. There's nothing safe about it. But is it worth it?
I instead want to go to as many town hall forums, as many candidate forums, as many church picnics that I can fit into my schedule, so that I can meet the voters.
