Chris Coons: “Apply the law as it is, focusing backward, not forward, and looking to text, structure, and history”

It’s ridiculous that one of the first things an American hostage or wrongful detainee receives from the government when they return home from captivity is a tax bill.

For 50 years, Prison Fellowship has brought that transformation to communities across the country, answering Jesus’ call to love our neighbors no matter where or who they are.

I’m proud that my bipartisan work with Senator Cramer changed that, and I’m grateful to the Mental Health Association in Delaware for putting this funding to work and making sure more veterans can get the care they need.

Delaware’s beaches are critical to our communities, our economy, and our way of life, and we need to make sure they have the resources they need to recover from this storm and prepare for the next one.
