I think it's wrong descriptively to say that this is a court that makes decisions on political considerations.

Trump is siding with their enemies at the expense of the American citizens.

Trump is making executive branch powers his own and service at its own ends.

Everything about this has been suspicious and stinky from the start.

I'm sick to my stomach about what's happening into the politicization of the Justice Department.

Trump is ordering his officials to minimize the threats we face and hide them as America.

That order -- court order was lifted just two years ago in 2018. And so now you have the Republican National Committee launching all of these voter fraud things -- and you just heard Trump talking about it -- which are ludicrous.

And to have the president of the United States saying things like, in North Carolina, go vote twice, and stewing up all of this concern about how -- about how they will be rigging and so on and, things like that, with zero proof…

I don't think it's any secret that Trump hasn't been all that successful in managing to attract votes.

This is just gobbledygook, to use the legal term. It won't stand.

I never thought in my life I would hear the hallowed Justice Department argue that a president is doing his job as president, that it is part of his official duties to call someone who alleges rape a liar.

I mean, it's ironic that Donald Trump is saying that he's going to keep us safe. He couldn't even keep Michael Flynn safe.

This is not some minor document dispute, by any stretch. Otherwise, we wouldn't be invoking the fifth -- Eric Trump wouldn't be invoking the Fifth Amendment.

It's these folks who are really treating the American people as deplorables.

What Bannon has done here is not a bug. It's a feature of the modern Republican Party.

It's obviously illegal, Ari. And it's obviously on American. And it's obviously incompetence.

There is nothing more un-American than messing with an election.

You don't do silly stuff and lead on the American people with the hopes of scoring a political point, particularly in the midst of a pandemic.

The job is for Congress to do, and the president is interfering with Congress's ability to do that.

What I think everyone knows and what was apparent in the last two weeks of hearings is that this was not about corruption, it was about one simple thing, the president wanted them to announce an investigation.

This president is afraid of the truth coming out in Congress.

I think it is an impeachable offense just the way the president has acted toward this impeachment investigation.

The president was saying, look, I'll give you this goody, this aid that the taxpayers have appropriated and I'm holding up, but in exchange, you've got to do something for me first.

And I think the most important thing for everyone to understand is this is not about impeaching a president, because people have policy differences.

The Mueller investigation has proved that not to be the case. That's not a criminal case. That's not an indictment.
