I can't say enough about the need for GSA to act like it is in the real estate business.

We are trying to orient the GSA to think in a down market what the advantages are.
If this agency ever does to us what it did to Prince George's, because when they did it to Prince George's, they did it to us, we are going to hold you in contempt because it was a contemptible act.
There has been a longstanding complaint particularly in Prince George's County that Prince George's County has not enjoyed in this region a fair share of GSA lease opportunities.
A specific number of jobs forecast, that is the whole point of the stimulus project.
The EDA grant was very important, Mr. Chairman, because when a historic structure burns you just can't slap some bricks back up there.
But the bill had at its major focus for the kinds of spending you concentrate on, which is public infrastructure, creating jobs.
We are very pleased with this Agency. We know what it has done. We know why we continue to focus on infrastructure.
I have a hard time fathoming how areas like this go through recessions except with horrible suffering--that is the only word I can use for it.
