David Shulkin: “I will never apologize for money we spend on our Nation's Veterans, never.”

Well, this fully funds our needs, and people should be filling those positions.

It takes way too long to get this stuff done.

I do believe that our unions are productive partners with us, and I do really appreciate the collaboration that we have because I believe that they care about getting the right services to Veterans.

I came to Washington with the commitment to make our system work better for veterans. That's the commitment that I went to work every day. I continue to feel strongly about that. There was no reason why I would resign.
