Delays, as you know, can prevent a veteran who may be ready to confront addiction from actually seeking treatment.
This is a tough job for anybody to do. What the successful secretary needs to do is to build a team around them because this is bigger than any one person, and to work very collaboratively with veteran service organizations and Congress.
I do believe that our unions are productive partners with us, and I do really appreciate the collaboration that we have because I believe that they care about getting the right services to Veterans.
