I consider myself in the camp of Senators who believe the U.S. involvement in another war in the Middle East would reflect that we learned virtually nothing over the last 25 years.

This is the kind of thing that can lead us to slip or slide into a war, and that is why Congress needs to be engaged.

We need to place an imperative and a priority on bringing to close this round of hostilities.
