I think one day in the near future, I believe the members of this committee and everybody that's here today will understand the case of the LGBT community in exactly the same way.
This is a country that is built on fundamental fairness, and where discrimination is something that simply can't be tolerated.

I've had people in Colorado refer to it as a game of musical chairs that rolls around once a year when people have to rebid this.
I do believe that the most important thing we should be doing here is figuring out how to lower costs for everybody.
I think the people most concerned about it in my view actually were young folks coming out of school who felt like they were going to be the last people hired into this economy.
For our working families, this economy is still nowhere near appearing to get better.
But for Johnny Isakson, I am not sure that idea would have been incorporated as part of that recovery plan.
So our first witness, Senator Johnny Isakson, and I have proposed extending the tax credit through the end of next June.
