The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of subtitle F of title VI, add the following new section: SEC. 6__. PROHIBITION ON AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS FOR CERTAIN BOOKS IN SCHOOLS OPERATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE EDUCATION ACTIVITY. None of the funds authorized to be appropriated by this Act or otherwise made available for fiscal year 2024 or any fiscal year thereafter for the Department of Defense Education Activity may be obligated or expended to purchase or maintain in a school library any book that contains pornographic material or espouses radical gender ideology.
