As someone who studied Latin for 4 years, I do not find de minimis offensive, I just find it vague and confusing as something to put into the U.S. Constitution. Now would it not have been preferable for this to go through the committee process so that we can really examine exactly what these terms mean before we vote on putting them into the Constitution?
