Before yielding to the gentlewoman from Michigan, I would just like to quote one of the most conservative justices, who said that ``the public has an interest in knowing who is speaking about a candidate shortly before an election.'' That was in the Citizens United decision. {time} 1545 Now, I didn't agree with that decision, but the court posited that the solution to the dark money that they were unleashing on the country was disclosure, and that is what this bill does. Mr. Chair, I yield 1 minute to the gentlewoman from Michigan (Ms. Tlaib).
