If I am fortunate enough to be confirmed, it will be a top priority for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to protect our most vulnerable Americans by addressing the disproportionate impact of the novel coronavirus of 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on nursing home residents, especially people of color.
