It is a telling reflection of my colleagues' priorities that they would rather debate the merits of Big Oil giveaways that will, without a doubt, harm our communities than address the critical need to fund essential government services.

The communities in my district would beg to differ. They still suffer from the impacts of having the largest urban oil field in the country in their backyard.

I urge you to give all communities a seat at the table, not just the ones that fit your narrative.
