Until there is an alternate government on Syrian territory, a government that pulls together people who are, indeed, dedicated to the idea of one Syria, a nonsectarian Syria, a Syria of citizenship and rule of law, until that exists on the ground, people who are still supporting this regime because they don't know what the alternative is will continue to support the regime.
