I urge my colleagues to support this legislation and to oppose the Republican substitute. If we pass a strong and bipartisan reauthorization, women can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Congress has got their backs. Every woman deserves protection and justice. I'm glad that the Senate bill closes the gap in current law by extending that protection to Native American, LGBT, and immigrant victims.
