As an American who worked at the United Nations, I can tell you that we are few and far between in that organization.

The only way forward is negotiated peace. No one ethnic group or party can say that they are winning during this conflict.

If we're serious about calling for an end to this violence, we need to get serious about the factors that are driving it.
