I would say to the leader that I had a couple of issues in that regard. As Members know, the Senate will finish a very tough corporate accountability measure early next week that the President and the Speaker have expressed support for. Given deep concern about the corporate scandals and impact on pensions and retirement savings of Americans, we in this House need to act as quickly as possible. Would it not make sense simply to adopt the Senate bill and send it right to the President before we leave for the August recess? Is that possible?
