Every single one of them is voting to raise the taxes of their constituents. And in California--not that they were from California--but the nonpartisan Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy estimates that 5.5 million California taxpayers--that is about a third of our taxpayers, and that is families, so that is many people--will see an average tax increase of $4,180; 2.2 million of those receiving a tax increase will have incomes of less than $110,000.
