I rise on behalf of thousands of California wildfire survivors. My district knows too well the devastation survivors of the southern California fires are facing. People have lost everything, and not just their homes and their belongings…

In the wake of losing their homes and livelihoods, it is wrong to tax survivors on settlement money that is meant to help them rebuild their lives.

These families should not have their assets, which are necessary to do their jobs and feed our Nation counted against them.

Antisemitism is appalling and has no place in our society.
