Mr. Speaker, it is my honor to recognize Esmeralda Gonzalez and David Ontiveros, residents of Oceanside, as my Co-Constituents of the Month for June 2026.

None of this is easy. It demands a more principled, inclusive, and constructive kind of American leadership than the one we have now.

These new tariffs are more of the same: a nationwide sales tax that will make life even harder for families already struggling under the costs of Trump’s reckless war in Iran.

Esmeralda and David represent the very best of what community means. They do not wait to be asked; they simply show up, roll up their sleeves, and give everything they have to the people around them.
