The amendments were agreed to, as follows: amendment no. 3052 (Purpose: To provide a military resource plan to meet the United States Force Posture Strategy in the Asia Pacific Region) At the end of subtitle F of title X, add the following: SEC. 1064. REPORT ON MILITARY RESOURCES NECESSARY TO EXECUTE UNITED STATES FORCE POSTURE STRATEGY IN THE ASIA PACIFIC REGION. (a) Review Required.-- (1) In general.--The Secretary of Defense shall, in consultation with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, conduct a comprehensive review of the national defense strategy, force structure, force modernization plans, infrastructure, budget plan, and other elements of the defense program and policies of the United States with regard to the Asia Pacific region to determine the resources, equipment, and transportation required to meet the strategic and operational plans of the United States.…
