The high cost of IVF treatment makes it difficult for thousands of Americans to start or grow their families. Family planning and fertility treatments are too costly and out of reach for too many Americans.

We need a substantial increase in research funding to determine the appropriate care and resources for our troops and veterans, and I will continue to fight for that on the House Appropriations Committee.

The hard part is still ahead of us.

I urge my colleagues to join me in celebrating Michaelle Jinnette, and in thanking her for the strength, compassion, and leadership she brings to families facing rare disease everywhere.
