I would certainly advise the members of the Committee on Banking and Financial Services to reject that offer. I would be supportive of doing everything that the gentleman has talked about, even though I was never contacted about concerns, even though I was never told about an investigation, even though I was never in any way brought into this. I am perfectly willing to expand the investigation, to go beyond even where the chair of this subcommittee has gone in an effort to find out what happened. But I would want the $125 million that was appropriated by the Committee on Appropriations to remain intact and only if the investigations reap the kind of information that shows that there has been fraud, there has been absolutely wrongdoing, then I would join the gentleman in reducing the amount. But not the offer that has been made, no.
