During the vote for H.R. 459, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, I voted ``yes'' for this legislation. This was not my intent. I intended to vote ``no.'' I strongly believe that the Federal Reserve should remain an independent central bank that is free from political influence; therefore, I would like the record to reflect that my vote in favor of this legislation was in error, and that I would have voted against it. ____________________
