Today I rise to recognize Western High School's football team in my district and to congratulate 11 seniors going on to play college football. Eleven is a 10-year record for the program under Coach Dan Davidson who pushed these athletes to compete at the next level. These players, coaches, and parents put in countless hours and accomplished something very special. Let me say, Mr. Speaker, many professional football players have come and have started in my district, including Heisman Trophy winners John Huarte, Matt Leinart, and Bryce Young. Now, these 11 student athletes will have the opportunity to blaze their own paths. Western High School and Coach Dan Davidson, again, have made us proud, and I congratulate them. ____________________
