H.R. 2713, the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act, sponsored by Rep. Lois Capps (CA) reauthorizes the current Nursing Workforce Development programs to continue nursing education at all levels.

Quality maternal care is vitally important for both the health of women and their future children.

This bill would make this more efficient by allowing these professionals to serve in areas with shortages in maternity care access.

Federal law prohibits car dealers from selling new cars subject to recall, but there is no similar law to stop rental car companies from renting or selling dangerous recalled cars that have not been fixed.

I introduced bipartisan legislation H.R. 2198 with my colleagues Walter Jones, Ms. Schakowsky, Mr. Butterfield to close this loophole.

Despite the broad support behind H.R. 2198, the auto manufacturer and dealer groups are fighting against this commonsense effort.
