I think it was Walter Mondale when he was asked about the legacy of the Carter administration, said something like, we told the truth, we followed the law and we preserve the peace.

Something, somebody, somewhere failed to do the proper planning for what had to take place in order to properly support our men and women in uniform.

But the facts speak for themselves.

Well, it should not have happened. I don’t care what excuses you want to use, it should not have happened.
