Leon Panetta: “we owe it to the taxpayers to be transparent and accountable for how we spend their dollars”

The message that went out from this meeting to the world is that United States credibility in dealing with our allies has taken a real hit.

The answer is no, not at all. Not in 100 years. These plans that the Pentagon develops, we -- we develop these plans to deal with every potential crisis that's out there.

Somebody needs to get fired.
