People who experience behavioral or mental health crises often do not receive the proper care they desperately need. Without it, they can deteriorate into behavior that can result in severe injury or death.
The lack of adequate services continues to be a real problem and a contributing factor to people cycling in and out of homelessness, and these services are controlled by LA County.
Ultimately people will lose their lives. We urge HUD to work with the City of Los Angeles to provide the necessary funding to reduce homelessness.
