Julia Brownley: “Chronic pain is a debilitating condition that affects veterans at a much higher rate than the civilian population.”

We thank Rep. Julia Brownley (D-CA-26) for introducing this legislation.

We envisioned it to not only as a raise for those who are already maxed out, but as an opportunity for VA to reassess nurse and physician assistants pay across the board.

I applaud the VA in terms of their strong focus on implementation of the PACT Act, but we can not forget the rest of the VA and all the other missions that we have here.

This legislation will increase the mileage reimbursement rate for VA's Beneficiary Travel Program.
