I agree with what the SEC is attempting to do here. I think that is no secret, I always have, and I think it is certainly within their jurisdiction.

During COVID, I introduced legislation to support the President's use of the Defense Production Act authorities.

I appreciate that, and so do the polls. Notably, according to a recent nonpartisan poll, over 82 percent of Americans support the CFPB and its mission to protect consumers in the financial marketplace.
