As you were speaking from your heart about the status of Americans today, I was thinking about last fall when I took my family down to the Roosevelt Memorial. On one of the placards carved in the stone is his statement: The test of America's progress is not that those who have much should have more but that those who have little should have enough. Isn't that where we are today? Isn't that what FDR was saying in the 1930s during the Great Depression? Mr. Speaker, thank you very much.
