I yield to the gentleman from Massachusetts. Mr. McGOVERN. I want to thank the gentleman for raising the issue of cost, but I want my colleagues to understand what we are actually paying for military operations in Afghanistan. We are borrowing $10 billion per month, $2.3 billion per week, $328.3 million per day, $13.7 million per hour, $228,000 per minute. And we are having a debate right now over how we get the debt under control. And these borrowed moneys are not even a subject of discussion. If you want to get the debt down, you've got to deal with these war costs. And I can't believe that for those who are advocating the status quo that they don't want to pay for it, it's going on our credit card, and I think that is unacceptable. This is an enormous cost to us here in our own country. I thank the gentleman. The Acting CHAIR. The time of the gentleman has expired.
