John Garamendi: “We say, 'Do this,' 'Do that,' and then we don't give you enough money to get it done rapidly.”

$1.5 trillion, or $1,500,000,000,000. That is the egregious and dangerously irresponsible amount of money the Trump Administration has requested for military spending.

Transparency is particularly important when it appears, as it does here, that the system’s ultimate capability will fall far short of the original promises.

We urge you to pause and consider the long-term legal and financial ramifications of collaborating with the Trump administration to circumvent California law.

This bill, like nearly all of the Trump and Republican agenda, does nothing to make Americans’ financial situation better.
