Given the tremendous potential costs of a Golden Dome system, and the fallacy that it could shield the United States from a significant missile attack, the American people deserve answers.

The environmental impacts, along with the economic fallout from those impacts, are simply too great, especially when there is little to no benefit for California consumers.

This is unacceptable. Before you spend one more taxpayer dollar on Golden Dome, DOD must share its plans and goals for the system.

As California’s Insurance Commissioner, I saw firsthand the devastating impact wildfires can have on families and communities. Homes were destroyed, lives were upended, and memories built over generations were lost in a matter of hours.
