This is an interesting chart that I came across a while ago. It talks about income growth, the issue you were just talking about: How does an individual rise and climb the economic ladder and what kind of success do they have? This is the income growth from 1996 to 2011. I kind of displayed this on a football field. Years ago I played football with some modest success.
