“We have talked a lot about this among our fellow Blue Dogs, but I think the point that you raise there is worth repeating because, frankly, I think there are a lot of Members on both sides of the aisle who, if they had the opportunity, would like to figure out how they could work together. I know, as the chair of the Blue Dog Caucus, it is your desire to reach out and continue to make that effort. I just want to applaud you for that. I also want to ask: Are there other ways in which constituents can make their Congresspeople feel more comfortable about doing that? With this notion of ``it is my way or the highway,'' I think the majority of my constituents wonder what is going on there. I mean, ``What are you folks thinking in Washington? because that is not the way we do it at home.''”
