The withdrawal from Afghanistan continues to be a disaster that has been worsened by this administration's response.

Unfortunately, many of these operations, especially charter flights, have met resistance from the State Department every turn.

Congress should be focusing on doing more to stand by our millions of service members and veterans.

My amendment would direct the SBA Administrator to submit a report to Congress and testify before the Committee on the effects of crime on small businesses in communities where local governments have decided to cut funding or defund our law enforcement.

The primary function of government is to keep our families and communities safe from bad actors.

I am surely disappointed that the Committee is considering another reconciliation package that spends trillions of taxpayer money without any Republican input, yet again.

I urge my colleagues from both sides of the aisle to support my amendment.

This was simply unacceptable and I believe the urgent necessity of this legislation is very clear.

That is why I am voicing my support for H.R. 3462, the 'SBA Cyber Awareness Act.'
