I have an amendment at the desk. The CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 10, line 12, at the end of section 113 of the bill insert the following: ``Nothing in this title or the amendments made thereby shall be construed to limit the authority of a State or tribe (or a political subdivision thereof) to prohibit or restrict the cultivation of genetically engineered plants on or near tribal lands.''. The CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 369, the gentleman from California (Mr. Huffman) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from California.
