I don't think anyone would claim that the ESA or any other law is perfect, but improving these laws seems to be a euphemism with some of our friends across the aisle, because so far every so-called improvement proposal I have seen involves weakening, and gutting, and reducing protections, as if we have too many of these threatening endangered species.
