It’s a huge challenge I face in getting my colleagues in Congress to be interested in protecting church-state separation against this movement.

Folding our hand now or in the lame duck makes no sense when we can keep working on this and, in a few more months, have a much better deal that works for everyone.

We need to reckon with our Christian privilege problem, our Bible-sized blind spot when it comes to just speaking without fear or favour about this movement that poses as Christian.

When people ask what will we do, my answer is simple. We’ll use those tools. We’ll act like the Congress.
