“I have an amendment at the desk. The SPEAKER pro tempore. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: At the appropriate place in title LVIII, insert the following: SEC. __. GENDER ANALYSIS IN FOREIGN TRAINING PROGRAMS. (a) Sense of Congress.--It is the sense of Congress that the President should encourage the increased participation of women in existing programs funded by the United States Government that provide training to foreign nationals regarding law enforcement, the rule of law, or professional military education, and should expand and apply gender analysis to improve program design and implementation. (b) Gender Analysis of International Training Programs.-- The Department of Defense, in coordination with the Department of State and other relevant departments, shall conduct a gender analysis of International Education and Training Programs offered to allied and partner forces to ensure the programs are equitable and address issues experienced by all participants. (c) Gender Analysis Training.--The Department of Defense, in coordination with the Department of State, shall develop and include gender analysis training to be included in the International Education and Training Programs at United States military schools and training institutions.…”
