I thank the ranking member. Let me just be very specific. Mr. Chaffetz, at one point, said we have a few bad apples, and the chairman suggested, Well, who are these deadbeats? Let's talk about who these deadbeats really are. $3.5 billion--54 percent of that $3.5 billion is attributed to military, active military, military Reserves, and retired military. Now, I don't know about you, but I think maybe we should rethink this because the truth of the matter is 54 percent have either been in the military or active military. Furthermore, 46 percent of those ``deadbeats'' are civilian Federal employees retired and military Federal employees retired. The SPEAKER pro tempore. The time of the gentlewoman has expired.
