Democrats want to work with House Republicans to develop bipartisan Federal communications policies to help our economy and the American public and to make sure the FCC is doing its job. But we can't do this when the only proposals that are brought to the House floor would turn the FCC watchdog into a lapdog for industry. We should stop wasting time on ideological fights and start cooperating together. Otherwise, this will be another House-passed bill that will not go anywhere in the other body, will not become law; and it is for good reason that it shouldn't.
