Mr. Chairman, the Crawford amendment simply requires EPA to consult with the Secretary of Agriculture before making any determination about the health threat posed by pollution in an area, as well as the costs and benefits of taking action. I don't know that the Department of Agriculture has much to contribute in terms of the health threats; but the bill is so objectionable already, it's hard to argue that this amendment makes it discernibly worse. It's a drop in a very large bucket. For that reason, I will not oppose this amendment. We're willing to accept it, but I still am in opposition to the bill. I yield back the balance of my time. The CHAIR. The question is on the amendment offered by the gentleman from Arkansas (Mr. Crawford). The amendment was agreed to. Amendment No. 4 Offered by Mr. Markey The CHAIR. It is now in order to consider amendment No. 4 printed in House Report 112-317.
