Before I yield to Mr. Rush from Illinois, I just want to make a comment. We need to get ourselves off of our dependence on oil whether it is from the United States or overseas; and if we go along with this pipeline, we are increasing our dependence on a very, very dirty oil that is going to use up a lot of carbon just to be able to get it into a State where it can be sent down that pipeline. I am pleased now to yield 3 minutes to the ranking member and, hopefully, the next chairman of the Energy Subcommittee, the gentleman from Illinois (Mr. Rush).
